Where can I look for help finding a job and/or job training resources in San Antonio?

In addition to traditional job boards, there are several resources available for San Antonio residents looking to find employment. 

Workforce Solutions Alamo provides an On-the-Job Training (OJT) program designed to provide dislocated workers and other eligible individuals with job opportunities for which they would not otherwise qualify. Requirements for the program include less than two years with the last employer; less than two years of total work experience; five or more jobs in the last two years; work skills that need upgrading; No work experience in the last two years; and classroom training, but no work experience. Alamo College Districts Train for Jobs SA Program, through a partnership with the city, offers programs for displaced workers seeking to build new skills in high-demand career areas. This program provides assistance to those in hospitality, food service, and retail which were hardest hit by the COVID-19 pandemic. Once admitted, participants will receive free tuition and stipends while participating in approved training programs. More information can be found here.

Ready to Work SA provides lower-income San Antonio residents with paid training and education programs for over 28,000 eligible adults in a variety of approved courses. To enter, you must be 18-years-old, a resident of San Antonio or a military-connected resident of Bexar County and authorized to work in the United States. More information can be found here.
